German courses

These courses aim to improve students' language skills and prepare them for academic study and life in Germany. The courses offer support at various levels and help to facilitate integration into the university community and everyday life.

Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences offers various German courses for international students. The preparatory German course at B2 level helps prospective students to acquire the language skills required for admission to a degree programme. The intensive course starts every year in November and lasts six months. At the end of the course, participants have the opportunity to take the Goethe B2 exam to certify their language skills and apply for a degree programme. Prerequisites for participation are German language skills at B1 level and proof of A-levels or a university degree.

In addition to this intensive course, there are also study-related German courses during the semester at levels A1 to B2, which are offered once or twice a week. Students can simply register for the first lesson of the course or contact us by e-mail. Further information can be found in the Language Centre's course catalogue, which also provides information on various language programmes such as tandem partnerships, in which students can learn a foreign language by practising with others.
