As different assessment limits and allowances apply abroad, the non-repayable foreign BAFöG could also be an option for you if you are not entitled to it in Germany. The following supplements are paid:
- A monthly foreign supplement if you are not staying in an EU country or Switzerland
- Tuition fees of up to €4,600 per year
- Costs for the outward and return journey and health insurance
