The DAAD mobility programme PROMOS is intended to offer students the opportunity to spend a period abroad whose project or destination is not eligible for funding under any of the structured programmes (e.g. ERASMUS - study or practical semester).
The scholarships are awarded by the university in a quality-orientated selection process. The focus is on the promotion of mobility to partner universities outside Europe.
Due to the limited allocation of funding to our university, each funding period is funded for a maximum of 4 months, even if the semester abroad lasts longer.
Funding opportunities:
- Study visits to partner universities outside Europe (short scholarships of up to 6 months)
- Final theses at partner universities or in foreign companies (one to six months duration)
- Study trips to partner universities (min. 5 participants, max. 12 days)
- Internships at partner universities (also possible in the period between Bachelor's degree and Master's programme; 6 weeks to 6 months duration)
- Specialised courses (5 days to 6 weeks)

Applications for mobilities in the first semester (January to June/July) are accepted until 15 November of the previous year, applications for mobilities in the second semester (July-December) must be submitted to the International Office by 15 March of the calendar year.
