UniDorf brings lecturers and students together to initiate mutual learning processes on site – in the living worlds, in the quarters, villages and small towns. A UniDorf builds the bridge between teaching, research and the challenges presented by regional development.

In the form of the teaching practice posts, lecturers and students from the faculty of Social Work and Education experience a common research, teaching and practical field which can be directly integrated in the course.
Over the course of several days, the core of the science camp "Research in a dialogue of the generations" comprises a research process with the development of research questions, selection of instruments and methods, documentation and evaluation as well as the public presentation of the results.
