In the "Lectures in special places" series of events, lecturers from the various faculties hold one-off lectures at unusual places away from the university campus yet befitting the topic.

Multiple changes to our professional positions over the course of our working lives is becoming increasingly natural. At the same time, our available knowledge becomes increasingly greater and renewed. A degree can no longer offer graduates a qualification to last an entire professional life. For this reason, the universisty offers multiple chances for part-time further education alongside work.
A lively artistic and cultural scene is traditional around Neubrandenburg. It intensively deals with the region as its place of work and residence, and exerts its influence by means of film festivals, exhibitions, readings and concerts. Art in particular can apprehend the social, economic and ecological topics of the peripheral regions and initiate a critical discourse. In cooperation with regional artists, the university develops event formats and art events pertaining to the hot topics.
