Blended Intensive Programme

Blended Intensive Programmes
BIPs are joint short, intensive mobility curricula (3 ECTS) with at least two other partner universities in programme countries, which combine a physical short-term mobility of 5 to 30 days with a virtual component. The total duration of the individual BIPs is not limited. For example, summer and winter schools can also be funded via Erasmus+ with a BIP. Detailed information is available from the DAAD.

Mixed mobilities
In addition to participating in a BIP, students who are unable to participate in a long-term physical mobility activity for study or internship purposes, for example due to their field of study or due to fewer opportunities for participation, can undertake a short physical mobility activity by combining it with a compulsory virtual component. This Short Term Mobility can be funded with Erasmus+ if it takes place at a partner university and at least 3 ECTS are awarded. Seek advice from the International Office.

Green travel
With the topic of "Environment and combating climate change", Erasmus also aims to sensitise funding recipients and institutions to climate change and environmental protection and, in particular, to the ecological footprint that participants generate through mobility. A top-up and the inclusion of up to 4 days of travel for the use of sustainable means of transport are intended to support this in traditional student mobility. Travel allowances for all mobility are increased for green travel.
