Welcome in Neubrandenburg
The city of Neubrandenburg is located halfway between the capital, Berlin, and the Baltic coast. It is located in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District right next to the Tollense Lake, which is only a few minutes walk from the University of Applied Sciences.
Through its support for Olympic athletes Neubrandenburg is known as a sports city, whilst the historic fortified wall and the four gothic city gates also give it the name “the city of four gates”. The largest and most significant monument of North German brick Gothic is St. Mary’s Church. It is a concert church today and offers exceptional acoustics. Neubrandenburg currently has approximately 65,000 inhabitants. The family-friendly community welcomes students.
