In 2003, with the help of a project group made up of employees from the universities of Stralsund and Neubrandenburg, a multifunctional chip card - then called the FH-Card - was introduced for students and employees at both university locations (Stralsund and Neubrandenburg). Well ..., Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences has not been called "FH" for a very long time now, so the card is now called the University Card.
The project was recognised as exemplary in the German higher education landscape due to the good and functioning cooperation between the two universities.
University card for students
Functions of the University Card for students:

Display "Cancellation card" or "Card blocked"
During a payment transaction, the terminal displays: Card *blocked* or *deleted card*
Your card has not completed a transaction.
Go to a photocopier/printer and insert your card into the card reader. It is important to use THE CARD READER from which the transaction was not completed correctly.
If you no longer know which is the *correct* terminal, insert your card into a reader. You will be shown which device you need to go to.
